Beginning something new

So, this is a blog. I looked the word up in the dictionary and it's not there. Whoever thought of "blog". Since my children turned ten they have taught me everything I know, what a learning experience it has been. After coffee the first thing I do is turn on this computer and then I am stuck for the rest of the day. Actually, I think this is going to be better than playing games. I am addicted. Not sure if one uses paragraphs on this but my daughter, the teacher, will correct me.
My son, who has been known since his youth as a bush cutter, had cut my bushes but because they had grown a little, as bushes do, I decided to trim them. I lugged my trusty electric cutter from the garage, with the cord, plugged it in and, bravo, it worked and I started cutting away. Suddenly, it stopped. I came in the house, checked the cord at both ends. Back outside to try again, happened to look down and saw I had cut the cord. Got a knife and other tools and prepared to splice the cord. Flash, another cord in the garage. After chatting with my neighbor at her window I completed the task. I was shaking so when I got in the house and was thinking I had had my exercise for the day, no need to walk around the block, as we are told to do. I thought, my children think I can do anything and they let me. All because my grandson told his Mother "let her do it, it keeps her young". He is so wise. All my days are not so exciting.10/13/08

Looking good Ma. Don't know how you highlighted my daughter and teacher, but it's nice of you to make me stand out in your first post. I wonder what you will be up to tomorrow!

Would you come take care of our yard. It will take care of your daily exercise thing, and it will tidy up our little sapce in VA.
